About Me

I’m Arsia Tamy a 43-year-old home cook, storyteller, and forever-student of life’s simple joys. Welcome to my kitchen, where flavors, memories, and a little bit of magic come together.

I grew up in the heart of the American Midwest, where wide-open fields and Sunday suppers taught me early on that food is more than a meal—it’s a love language. My earliest memories are tied to my grandma’s farmhouse, a place where the screen door always squeaked, the counters were dusted with flour, and her garden overflowed with peaches, zucchini, and fragrant basil. Those sun-kissed peaches, plucked straight from the tree, still inspire my cooking today.

As an only child, I became Grandma’s shadow. She’d let me “help” knead dough for her buttery pies or stir pots of simmering jam, all while sharing stories of her own childhood. Her kitchen was a classroom without walls, where I learned that a pinch of patience and a dash of creativity could turn humble ingredients into something unforgettable. By 16, I was hosting my own “dinner parties” for friends, testing recipes that blended her timeless wisdom with my modern twists.

Now, as a mom to two spirited kiddos and a golden retriever named Buddy (my official taste-tester), my kitchen is louder, messier, and fuller of love than ever. My husband jokes that I’m “slightly obsessed” with seasonal produce—he’s not wrong. You’ll often find me at farmers’ markets, chatting with growers, or in my backyard garden, battling squirrels for the first ripe tomato of summer.
